The Small Business Technical Assistance program in Harris County is a collaborative effort between the Harris County Department of Economic Equity & Opportunity and Roads Consulting Group. This program offers a comprehensive range of free services to support local businesses. Services provided include accounting/financial planning, business consulting, legal services, license and permitting guidance, marketing and branding, support for grant applications, technology/IT assistance, contracting, workshops, and seminars. The program aims to empower small businesses by providing expert guidance and resources to help them thrive and grow. City of Lynn Business of Hard Knocks
A pioneering initiative supported by a state grant aims to empower individuals re-entering society post-incarceration by fostering entrepreneurship. Led by the Economic Development Industrial Corporation (EDIC/Lynn) and Roads Consulting Group, this program offers a 12-week business incubator course designed for residents impacted by the justice system. Participants receive comprehensive training in business planning, legal compliance, and marketing strategies. The program, backed by a $900,000 grant over three years, provides a $1500 stipend upon completion, incentivizing entrepreneurial endeavors.
